This truly stunning new music venue opens with the equally stunning sounds of Alpha (www.alphaheaven.com ), the beat-heavy Bristolians whose soundtrack-inspired compositions found them signed to Massive Attack's Melankolic label in 97, with several critically acclaimed albums released since then. Alpha feature the amazing tones of Wendy Stubbs, whose enormous voice gives their compositions more than a hint of the Bond theme-tune. With their cabaret-esque leanings and undoubted musical quality, Alpha are the perfect act to open Joe Public's and we are delighted to have them.
